NICK APPEARANCES.....Macy's Passport Presents GLAMORAMA 2013: RECAP!

Last Thursday evening, I had the pleasure of attending Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama "Fashion In A New Light"--along with my partner David Paul--at Downtown Los Angeles' famed Orpheum Theater.

The star-studded fundraiser brings together musical performances and the best of Fall Fashion from Macy's. But more importantly, it all done to raise awareness and funds for AIDS Project LA/APLA--its long-standing partner. Since 1983, APLA has grown to become one of the largest and most effective AIDS service organizations in the U.S., currently serving more than 11,000 people annually with first-rate HIV/AIDS care and prevention programs.

Zarkana by Cirque Du Soleil Performers, Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama 2013 red Carpet, Orpheum Theater Downtown L.A.

I was excited--and humbled--to attend for the reasons above. Oh, and did I mention that the Backstreet Boys (OMG!) were going to be performing! As well as Zarkana by Cirque Du Soleil--from Las Vegas' ARIA Resort & Casino.

Our Seats: We were all the way in the back (Row W) but we could still see the stage OK--I was happy to spot some of the models that have modeled my NIKOLAKI Collection gowns before in various fashion shows--as well as yes, see the Backstreet Boys!

Sharon Stone: Devoted AIDS activist Sharon Stone opened the show wearing a very elegant black ensemble. She's been an integral part of Glamorama for the last decade and she made a very impassioned speech.

The Fashions:
Fall Fashions from brands Calvin Klein, Diesel, Rachel Rachel Roy, Tallia Orange, Tommy Hilfiger, Max Mara, Macy's Impulse Maison Jules were shown as part of the Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama 2013:

(left to right) Model Kalyn Hemphill (she was on "Season 6 Project Runway")  in one-shoulder gown, and six-pack ab model in Diesel underwear (he got a HUGE ovation from the crowd, needless to say!)

After Party:

After Glamorama, we all headed to the Calfornia Market Center for a fun After Party. The Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama 2013 After Party involved Gourmet hors d'oeuvres by Joshua Whigham, Chef de Cuisine of The Bazaar by Jose Andres, include Croquetas de Pollo (Chicken and Béchamel Fritters, which were REALLY GOOD!), Chistorra (Spanish Pigs in a Blanket), Ottoman Carrot Fritters with Apricots and Pistachio Sauce, Wagyu Beef, Caviar Cone, and Liquid Olives. Guests spun the prize wheel in the American Express Lounge...

Enjoyed specialty cocktails from Patrón Spirits, dance to music by DJ Brandon Olds, mingled with cast and crew, had a consultation and touch up with a MAC Cosmetics expert before posing with at the Patrón Photo Shoot, grabbed a snack at the LUNA Bar wall, discovered their fortune at the Patrón Fashion Fortune TellerBooth, and stopped by for a sweet treat at the LA Times Cotton Candy Cart.
