La Plus Belle Femme de France: The newly crowned "Miss France 2015" Camille Cerf , representing Nord-Pas-de-Palais--Miss France 2015 Finals

GURL! Take it Easy! Camille Cerf, Miss France 2015 gets congratulated by her fellow contestants--Miss France 2015 Finals

Blond-haired, green-eyed 19-year-old Camille Cerf won the Miss France 2015 crown this past Saturday. The almost 5' 11" (1. 80 M) tall beauty beat out 32 other contestants for the top prize in a fabulously done production televised by French TV Network TF1. The Finals took place at the Zenith d'Orleans Centre and were hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault (for the 20th consecutive year!) and Sylvie Tellier, who was Miss France 2002 and is also the current director of the Miss France and Miss Europe organizations/pageants.

Winning Beauty: Camille Cerf Miss Nord-Pais-du-Calais--Miss France 2015 Finals

The new Miss France 2015 received 100,000 euros in prizes, use of a Paris apartment for the year of her reign and a monthly salary of 3,000 euros and She will represent France at Miss Universe 2014 in January (of 2015!) and at the Miss World 2015 Finals late next year.  Fun fact: four years ago, she entered the Elite Model Look contest with Elite Model Management and became a finalist, therefore garnering a contract with the agency.

The Top Two: (L to R) Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais Camille Cerf and Miss Tahiti Hinarere Taputu--Miss France 2015 Finals

The new Miss France's "court" included First Runner-Up, Miss Tahiti; Second Runner-Up, Miss Côte d’Azur; Third Runner-Up, Miss Aquitaine; and 4th Runner-Up, Miss Alsace.

Miss Tahiti, and eventual First Runner-Up, Hinarere Taputu--Incidentally, this is the third year in row that Miss Tahiti is the First Runner-Up.

The Production: "Films d'epoque" Old Hollywood Films Theme
As has been the case in past Miss France productions, this year's show--which had a "Films d'epoque" (Old Hollwood Films) theme, was FABULOUS--lots of dance numbers, lots of costume changes and many different segments involving tributes to Musical Comedies, Western, Science Fiction, Romantic Films and Animation. The dance numbers kept the Finals moving with a fast pace and the interest very high for the audience and viewers (an estimated 8.5 million in France!). Miss France beauty pageant is constantly one of the BEST productions, in terms of a TV show.

One Shoulder Gowns, Feathered Fans and 1920's headdresses--The Introduction of Miss France 2015 Finals involved the overall Theme of this year's pageant: "films d'epoque" (Classic Old Hollywood Films)

Musical Comedies Segment:

Fun 50's style dresses in polka-dot/stripes/tulle highlighted this segment--Miss France 2015 Finals

A La Coquete de l'ouest Segment:
"Conquering The West" segment was a fun costumed portion of the pageant highlighting the old Western movies...showing the contestants in sexy "Cowgirl" hi-lo torso-corseted ensembles. Oh and yes, lots of HOT sexy Cowboys in tight jeans and tight Western shirts (and the requisite Cowboy hats of course!). It was very Madonna "Don't Tell Me" Video Homage.

Science Fiction Segment:

Romantic Films Segment:

Animation Films Segment:

The Top Five Evening Gowns:
Red Carpet Fab: The Top Five Finals in their evening gowns toward the end of the TV show--Miss France 2015 Finals

The five final gowns all featured some form of sequined applique and were quite well done. Each and every one could be easily worn by a top Hollywood actress on the red carpet. I think this final Evening gown segment capped the entire night's Theme quite well--ending it with fab red carpet gowns.

Top Gowns: My favorites were the two gold gowns worn by the Top Two contestants Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais Camille Cerf (far left) and Miss Tahiti Hinarere Taputu (2nd from right).

Congratulations to the new Miss France, Camille Cerf--Bonne Chance at Miss Universe!
