Asha was crowned by last year's Miss Supranational, Mutya Johanna Datul from the Philippines. Asha is the
first Asian to get crowned by another Asian in the short history of the
"Miss Supranational" pageant.

The Miss Supranational beauty pageant began in 2009 and with a great show, presentation and stunning contestants, it's certainly vying for a space in the "Gland Slam" of international beauty pageants, the likes of Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth.

The Gowns:

White Gown Beauties: All the contestants wore white dresses--some long (gowns) and some short, cocktail length. There were some messes (too short, too cheap-looking) and some nice--if not extraordinary--choices...
Miss Poland Kasia Krzeszowska: Kasia wore
a strapless dress with satin bustier and organza handkerchief hemmed
tiered skirt. This style was a bit of a 90's mess. And the fact that I
can see those tacky gold platform shoes...Ayyy Dios Mio!
Miss USA Allyn Rose: Nothing to really talk about--a white maxi dress that belongs at a Captain's Dinner in a cruise. She looked pretty.
Miss Gabon Maggaly Nguema: Maggaly's gown was one of the best of the finalists--I liked that it was to-the-floor (no shoes showing) and that it fit her nicely and looked both elegant and fashion-forward chic.
Congratulations to Miss India, Asha Bhat for getting the "Miss Supranational 2014" crown!
