Last week, I had the pleasure of making a special appearance at a Los Angeles Public Library "Reading By Design" Summer Reading Challenge Event at the Cypress Park Branch Library.

This was a nice event where I spoke about my experiences from being an avid fashion sketcher to many, many years later, following my love and passion, and becoming a fashion designer. Naturally, I also talked about my book "A Passion For Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread At A Time". The book is available on Amazon.com as well as Barnes & Noble and selected FIDM bookstores and I just found out that it will be available in paperback beginning in February 2018. Last week, I had the pleasure of being invited as a guest on Hallmark Channel USA's "Home & Family" TV Show. I was EXTRA EXCITED because one of the hosts of the show is none other than my NIKOLAKI Awards Show Red Carpet "Muse"--the beautiful and very talented Debbie Matenopoulos!


Last Sunday, at the 2017 Oscars Red Carpet, Debbie wore one of our NIKOLAKI gowns which--along with my better half David Paul--we created for her especially for the Academy Awards...


So, naturally, during my guest appearance on "Home & Family", I got to discuss the process of designing and creating a Custom Gown for Debbie especially for the Oscars...


On the topic of the Oscars, I also got the chance to talk about Oscars-related DISH including Meryl Streep and the Chanel/Karl Lagerfeld DRAMA...and yes, the Best Picture Envelope Announcing Oopsie!

I also talked about my book "A Passion For Fashion Fashion" and teachable moments for anyone interested in a career in Fashion.

This past weekend, after flying back from my QVC Italia shows for my line "NV Nick Verreos", I had the pleasure of do a special Book Signing Event at my Alma Mater the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM. The event was held at the FIDM Museum Shop lobby.


The day of my book signing was also the same day as the FIDM Fall 2016 Open House so it was nice to have some of the students and parents who came to the campus for the Open House to stop by the FIDM Museum Shop, meet me, get my book and have me sign it--and do a special fashion sketch too! During the day, I also had the opportunity to be a panelist during both of the FIDM Fall 2016 Open House Alumni Panel Discussions.

Last week, I had the privilege of flying to New York City for a very special Book Signing Event for my new book "A Passion For Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread at a Time". The event occurred at the Barnes & Noble store located at the Fashion Institute of Technology/FIT. This was the one-time-only East Coast Event for the launch of my book.

I am SOOOO EXCITED to announce that I will be in New York City Friday September 9th for a special Book Signing Meet & Greet for the Release of my new book "A Passion For Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread at a Time"! This will be the Official NYC Book Signing event during NY Fashion Week! It will be at the Barnes & Noble at the Fashion Institute of Technology/FIT.

Last week was the Worldwide Book Launch of my new book "A Passion For Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread at a Time" (Available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble!). As a FIDM graduate, spokesperson and instructor, I was so honored that my Alma Mater--the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising--wanted to be the host of my Official Worldwide Book Launch.

This past Tuesday was the WORLDWIDE Official Book Launch of my new book "A Passion For Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread at a Time". I am so excited to announce that I have written a book--along with my partner David Paul--entitled "A Passion For Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread at a Time". It is due to be released officially in late August but it is available for pre-order NOW (!) on Amazon.com.

The book encompasses my Guide to achieving your fashion dreams, using my own biographical anecdotes on my early "Passions for Fashion"--from my early childhood growing up in Caracas Venezuela to then attending FIDM, to working in the fashion industry for about a decade before staring my own line and yes, being cast on "Project Runway". For those "Project Runway" fans, there is an entire chapter devoted to my time on Season 2 of that show plus being part of "Under The Gunn", with lots of "Inside Dish".
