NICK APPEARANCES.....KTLA "Countdown to the Emmys: Red Carpet Ready" TV Special--RECAP!

Red Carpet Style: Stylist Anya Sarre and Fashion Designer/FIDM Host & Spokesperson Nick Verreos--KTLA's "Countdown to the Emmys: Red Carpet Ready" TV Special, filmed at FIDM Museum

If you have been keeping up with my BLOG here--and all my "Who Wore What? 2017 Emmys Red Carpet" posts, I'm sure you already knew that this past Sunday were the 69th Annual Emmy Awards...

"Countdown to the Emmys: Red Carpet Ready" KTLA TV Special--Anya Sarre and Nick Verreos--at FIDM Museum's 11th Art of Outstanding Television Costume Design Exhibition,  Downtown Los Angeles

In advance of the 2017 Emmys, I had the pleasure (and LOTS OF FUN!) to be part of an Emmy's TV Special filmed at the fabulous FIDM Museum's 11th Annual Art of Outstanding Television Costume Design Exhibition on KTLA-5 TV called "Countdown to the Emmys: Red Carpet Ready". Along with host--and stylist/lifestyle expert--Anya Sarre, I was invited to provide special Emmys Costumes commentary plus show some of my latest NIKOLAKI gowns, discussing possible trends we might see on the 2017 Emmys Red Carpet.

As the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM and FIDM Museum Spokesperson, I was honored to educate the viewing public on some of the wonderful costumes we have in our latest exhibit and give some "Inside Dish" on the Emmy-nominated ones. Here is my Behind-the-Scenes BLOG RECAP with lots of photos of us filming as well as my beautiful NIKOLAKI gowns, modeled by three of my favorite models Amanda, Amber and Brianna from L.A. Models Runway...

WHO WORE WHAT?.....2017 Primetime Emmy Awards 2017: Priyanka Chopra in Balmain

Priyanka Chopra in Balmain

Three words: Shut It Down. Leave it to Priyanka Chopra to show up looking like a Modern & Chic "Game of Thrones" Queen of Winterfell! The stunning "Quantico" star and former "Miss World" looked HOT in a sequined and feathered gown from the French fashion house of Balmain...

 Priyanka Chopra in Balmain

The design featured silver crystal fan-like details, HUGE jeweled sequins across the neck and armholes and a gown skirt which ended up in a semi-mermaid shape of white feathers...

Loved this look, loved the dress and loved everything else Priyanka did--make-up, hair and styling-wise. Last year, she was one of my Best Dressed picks for the 2016 Emmys in that red Custom Jason Wu gown and this year, Priyanka stuns again: Two for two Darling!

WHO WORE WHAT?.....2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Jane Fonda in Brandon Maxwell

Jane Fonda in Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018

The DIVA has arrived...and she's in Bubblegum Pink! The one and only Jane Fonda wore a bubblegum pink colored gown from Brandon Maxwell's most recent Spring 2018 collection, which he showed last week as part of New York Fashion Week (Read the RECAP of his collection HERE)...

Jane Fonda in Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018

The gown featured a slightly bell-shaped sleeves, a fitted waist, a column/fitted skirt section...

As well as an open back (but "bra-strap friendly"), and back "fall"/train for a little bit of drama. I liked this gown and especially the color on Jane. The hair, however seemed a bit too "severe" for her. She claims to have been inspired by Gwen Stefani and I think with the hair she took the influence one step too far...

And take a look at those diamonds and emeralds!!! WOWZA!!!!
What did you think of Jane Fonda at the 2017 Emmys? Red Carpet Fab or "Barbie-licious"?

WHO WORE WHAT?.....2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Nicole Kidman in Calvin Klein

Nicole Kidman in Calvin Klein by Appointment

"Big Little Lies" actress--and Fashion Diva--Nicole Kidman wore this red gown to the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards...

Nicole Kidman in Calvin Klein by Appointment

The tea-length dress was from "Calvin Klein By Appointment" which I guess is a fancy schmancy way of saying "custom" or "Couture" or... "By Appointment". In other words, YOU HAVE TO BE A BIG A-LIST STAR to get an appointment and to get a custom dress made for you! The new-ish Creative Director for Calvin Klein is Raf Simons (formerly of Dior as you all know!) and by the style of this, it does have a somewhat Raf Simons vibe...

The style had a multi-seamed halter top section featuring sequined rope/ties...

And a very, very...VERY FULL (about 20 yards full!) of skirt, which by the looks of it, Kidman was LOVING.

Did YOU guys LOVE this dress on Nicole Kidman? let me know!

WHO WORE WHAT?.....2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Viola Davis in Zac Posen

Viola Davis in Zac Posen

I was looking forward to see what the FIERCE Viola Davis would wear at tonight's 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards; she loves color, style and good fit. Davis didn't disappoint in this terracotta colored fit-and-flare gown from Zac Posen...

The gown featured a fitted top section, small high-hip yokes and softly flaring godet insets on the skirt which gave a nice dramatic sweeping effect. Loved the diamond bracelets and the gold clutch as her accessories.

What did you guys think? Was Viola a Yay? Or...

WHO WORE WHAT?.....2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Tracee Ellis Ross In Chanel Haute Couture

Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2017

"Black-ish" actress Tracee Ellis Ross walked the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet in Chanel Haute Couture...

Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2017

Her silver sequined and feathered gown was from Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Since this is Haute Couture, we're talking ALL HANDMADE, THOUSANDS of hours of work and made-to-order...and if Miss Ellis Ross was to actually buy this, it would set her back probably about $150,000-$200,000 for the gown. Talk amongst yourselves...

Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2017

The dress featured silver hand-sewn paillettes, blouson sleeves, a silver leather belt and lots of plumage at the bottom. I think her mom--circa 1970's--would DEFINITELY approve!

Tracee sure looks like she's having a BLAST in this gown! Gotta love it!

WHO WORE WHAT?.....2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Mandy Moore in Carolina Herrera

Mandy Moore in Carolina Herrera in Resort 2018

"This Is Us" star Mandy Moore starts my EMMYS 2017 RED CARPET blogging with this black and white gown from Carolina Herrera Resort 2018 collection. The strapless gown featured a three-tiered skirt section of fan-pleated tulle. I thought she looked quite elegant and pretty. I loved the fit of the bustier and how the tiers lengthened her already tall frame.

I also loved the simple jewelry and the pop of color (bubblegum pink!) lipstick. Nicely done.
