Alison Brie in Peter Dundas Pre-Fall 2018--Netflix "Glow" star, Alison Brie, wore this red one shoulder gown at last night's 2018 SAG Awards. The dress was from designer Peter Dundas and his Pre-Fall 2018 collection. The collection is described as a "Ziggy Stardust lightning bolt embroidery" 70's-inspired collection, as you can see from the sequined trim on her gown. I thought this was a fun gown choice since it also had a slight homage to her "Glow" costume/leotards. The jersey knit dress also featured a cut-out side, one long sleeve and high side slit that was closed slightly for Alison (notice how open it is on the model, photo above). The gown style was very 70's sexy...

Dundas, by the way, has designed for many brands and designers in the past including Christian Lacroix, Roberto Cavalli, Emanuel Ungaro as well as Emilio Pucci, to name a few. He's a go-to-designer for many fashion houses. This dress is from his own namesake line.

Allison Janney in Yanina Couture--Actress Allison Janney looked like a "Game of Thrones" Queen of Dragons in her choice of a silver/gun-metal colored sequined gown from Moscow, Russia-based designer Yulia Yanina and her brand Yanina Couture. The dress was loosely based on a style seen in her Fall 2017 collection (right photo above). Allison's gown was completely covered in metallic paillettes and featured puffy sleeves, a high neck and figure-fitting silhouette. Many people said she was vibing her inner "Khaleesi" with this Warrior Queen look.

Margot Robbie in Custom Miu Miu--"I, Tonya" actress Margot Robbie wore this blushy pink colored gown at last night's 2018 SAG Awards. The dress was a Custom Miu Miu gown, designed just for her. While this style may have nothing whatsoever to do with the Miu Miu brand or what they have most recently shown on the runways, it did have a certain "figure skating costume" vibe with its crystal embellishment and midriff feathered details.

Halle Berry in Pamella Roland Pre-Fall 2018--Actress Halle Berry stunned--in a good way--at last night's 24th Annual SAG Awards Red Carpet. She wore a shimmering gown from designer Pamella Roland. The gown was based on a style shown for her Pre-Fall 2018 collection (above photo). The original gown featured a more draped/plunging upper bust, while for Halle, it was made to look more like a basic v-neck tank style.The dress featured a sequined under-dress with a layer of black tulle as an overskirt. Sally Hawkins in Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2017 Haute Couture--"The Shape of Water" Actress Sally Hawkins wore this tea-length "striped" gown from Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2017 Haute Couture collection and its Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri. I loved this gown when I saw the collection and was very happy to see it on the red carpet. As I have said before, it takes a strong and fearless actress to wear a "print" and especially a bias-cut one like this. This Dior Haute Couture is actually NOT a print but...

Multicolored BEADED strips, all HAND SEWN in a printed/striped pattern, on the BIAS. And it all MITERS (matches). And every seam was sewn by HAND. There is so much COUTURE in what I just said that well, it would take a FOUR-HOUR "Nick Class" for me to explain it. This dress probably costs around $80,000+ and trust me kids, it's worth every Euro! (even though Sally Hawkins got it for free).

Kate Hudson in Valentino Pre-Fall 2018--Kate Hudson wore this pink heart-printed ruffled gown from Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 collection and its Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. This choice of a dress has given Twitter lots to talk about since by the looks of it, lots of people are not fans. I'm kind of "on the fence" with this. While I do love the fun and flirty style and very Valentino romantic look, I guess I can (kind of) understand people's "I'm not sure" feelings. But...overall, I actually like the dress--especially the high-neck style which goes well with her pixie hairstyle. Any time an actress wears a print on the red carpet, it can be tricky, but I give Kate props for taking a chance and being "different". Honestly, I am so sick of SAFE and BORING that I applaud her for choosing this gown.

Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive--Nicole Kidman looked every bit a Hollywood star in this copper sequined gown from Armani Prive. The gown--cut on the bias in paillettes-studded silk, had a beautiful detail at the shoulder, showcasing a draped "rosette". The chic dress had long sleeves and vibed a very 40's-like Glamour style of the Lauren Bacall days. The design was from the Haute Couture $100,000+/a gown-costing arm of the Giorgio Armani design house and was made especially for Nicole. Simple yet very elegant.

Olivia Munn in Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018--Olivia Munn wore a black gown from Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018. The strapless gown was designed by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, the creative duo that now heads the Oscar de la Renta brand. The gown featured a silver sequined bustier and a black silk duchesse column fitted skirt with gorgeous silver beaded leaf applique. I thought it was a unique design and Olivia looked elegant yet fun.

Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph & Russo Fall/Winter 2017 Haute Couture--Lupita Nyong'o looked ravishing in a silver/gun-mental colored gown by British design duo Ralph & Russo from their Fall/Winter 2017 Haute Couture collection. The strapless gown featured a fitted sequined column gown with a navy-colored silk tulle overlay featuring hand-sewn feathers at the hem. As you can tell, the gown also had an UBER fitted inner corset shaping the gown. Being that the gown is from the brand's Couture line, it was all hand-done and custom-made for her...

I thought she looked FABULOUS...Definitely one of the BEST DRESSED! What did you guys think? 

Vanessa Kirby in Valentino Spring/Summer 2018--"The Crown" actress Vanessa Kirby--who plays Princess Margaret--looked BEAUTIFUL at tonight's 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, in a gorgeous multicolored sequined tulle gown from Pierpaolo Piccioli's Valentino Ready-to-Wear Spring 2018 collection.  The nude tulle-based gown is covered in the most delicate array of hand-sewn sequins, paillettes, bugle beads, silk petals and crystals in a flower bouquet motif. Kirby's stylist, Micaela Erlanger teased a close-up of the fabric without saying who would wear it:

I LOVED this gown on Kirby! What a nice change to see a colorful, glorious dress on the red carpet, especially after the all-black looks from the Golden Globes. Cheers Vanessa: Well done!
