The Look: It was all about the exploration of curves for Donatella Versace and the Atelier Versace collection for Spring/Summer. This is the Haute Couture "arm" of the business, catering to it's very, very wealthy clientele--mainly Russian Billionaire's Mistresses, Wives who can afford the $40,000+ price tags (that's just the price of a cocktail dress, darlings!) and of course, the red carpet (that's free!). As always, the "SEX" was ampted up with figure-hugging gowns, dresses and suitings (if you could call them that, they did included jackets!).

Colors: White, Electric Blue, Red, Black.

Trends: Curved seaming, curved necklines, curved EVERYTHING! Bell bottoms. See-thru vs. solid. Lots of one shoulder.

Themes: This show celebrated the 125th Anniversary of the House of Lanvin. In terms of themes, 70's was there, as well as easy and sexy dressing. Creative Director Alber Elbaz designed a wonderfully-received collection.

In case you didn't know--or realize (I didn't!)--Tom Ford has TWENTY-ONE freestanding stores and stores-within-a-store spanning across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania (that's Australia-New Zealand-Papua New Guinea-Fiji-The Pacific Ocean Island Nations for you geographically-challenged). He's got stores in the "usual subjects" like NYC, Las Vegas, Dubai, Sao Paolo and Milan. But yet, he's even carried in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and even Uzbekistan---who knew? Those sketchy arms dealers need to look dapper too I guess!!!. Ford's first namesake ladies' items will go on sale in his Madison Avenue boutique March 1st.
