NICK APPEARANCES.....Hosting the 2026 ICSC Global Awards Ceremony at the Wynn Las Vegas
Last month, I had the privilege of hosting the ICSC Global and MAXI Awards at the Wynn Las Vegas. The ICSC/International Council of Shopping Centers Global Awards recognize achievements in professional excellence in the Marketplaces Industry, awarding prizes in many categories to shopping centers worldwide and to the marketing and organizational teams that make special events/pop-ups, etc., look flawless! Essentially, the Awards Ceremony reinforces the value in creating unique experiences in the retail space and those campaigns that capture people's imaginations.
Upon landing in Las Vegas, David and I had one mission, after checking into our "Four Seasons" Vegas hotel: To go see "The Wizard of Oz" at the Sphere! (because, why not?)...
We booked tickets to see "The Wizard of Oz" at the Sphere because we'd never been to the Sphere and had heard wonderful things about the experience of seeing such a classic and iconic film "brought back to life". It was great to see the film in such detail, including the costumes, close-ups of Judy Garland, the colors...the shaking and vibrating of our seats as the tornado was happening, as well as apple "stuffies" flying down from the ceiling...it was all quite an experience!
The next day, it was time for my hosting duties as we headed off to The Wynn Las Vegas...First, it was rehearsals and a run-through for the awards show...
This year was, I think, the third (or is it fourth?) time I've been asked to host this wonderful event in Las Vegas, and it's always lots of fun. Since the awards show is a celebration, it has a great atmosphere and is also a chance for me to dress up!
