18th Annual SAG Awards: Who Wore What? Natalie Portman in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring 2012

Natalie Portman in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring 2012: Natalie chose a dress hot off the Haute Couture Runway for this years SAG Awards. This dress has already racked up more Frequent Flier Miles then most of us this year!

Giambattista Valli is one of the hottest Couturiers at the moment and you can see why Natalie would be drawn to this stand-out collection. But this Deep Aubergine Chiffon Strapless Gown with Bust Bow Detail is a bit overwhelming for her petite frame. Besides the color being a slightly drab the bow detail is a bit much on her. It works for the 6'0" tall model, but not so much on Natalie.

Let me know what you think?!!

I agree. The burgundy dress last year was very dainty and worked really well for Natalie. This is just too much.

if the bow was taken off entireley, would have been better. And maybe a messy updo to soften her face some.

I actually like the bow. It's not too big but adds a softness and interest.

The bow was probably a bit much, but I love the deep color. she looks great in these dark, interesting colors.

Don't like it at all, and thank goodness she didn't wear the headpiece! Not a good look for her at all... just sort of looks like a big ole sheet with a tie on it.
