18th Annual SAG Awards: Who Wore What? Lea Michele in Atelier Versace Fall 2010

Lea Michele in Atelier Versace Fall 2010: Well, well, well, look at little Lea Michele! Vamping it up in Atelier Versace. that's the Haute Couture line of Donatella's, in case you didn't know--in other words--one-of-a-kind and costing $100,000+ for gowns (if you wanted to order and buy).

It's A LOT of gown--for Lea--this one-shouldered pale blueish silver, micro-gathered bustier gown with very high side slit and lots of train. At first glance, I thought "She looks like a 'Miss Universe' contestant, during the Evening Gown Preliminaries..." I'm not so sure if this was the right gown for her. What do my very informed readers here on my BLOG think? Please, don't be shy to leave me your thoughts! I ALWAYS read them!

That photo makes her look like a lollipop head...and it makes her look old...like a used Kleenex.

I think the dress looks MUCH better on Lea than on the model. She's rocking it (and I'm not usually a fan of her fashion choices).

if she had done SOMETHING with her hair, it would have elevated this look so much more! Almost like she was playing dress up and then just ran out of the house.

I think she was trying to make up for the dress she wore to the Golden Globes - but this is just too much for her. I agree with Angela, she should have done something with her hair. That hair is way too casual for that dress!

oh my this is the first time i saw the dress on the model.
Luv uncle nick to do this.
First thought: look cheap in Leah.
But deff different on model.
Leah is too short for this dress.
The slit is not helping.

She's too short and not sexy enough for a dress like this, plus it's the wrong color for her skin tone. She shoud take a cue from whoever modeled her for the Candy's shoe ads and wear outfits that showcase her youth and vivaciousness.

She thinks she is sexier than she is.

The dress is not good for her. She isn't a style icon, in my view, and should stick with more simple & elegant dresses. This dress would be amazing on some other celebs. So you're saying it's a $100k gown and THAT's what she did with her hair? She doesn't wear the dress, and the dress doesn't wear her ... Not a good match at all.

I love the photo on the right of the model wearing the Versace dress. Obviously, as pretty as Lea Michele is, Lea is NOT a model and the dress fits her poorly and makes her look even shorter than she is with all that excess fabric dragging on the floor.

Lea needs to stop trying so hard this awards season. It's not a pretty look for her at all. It's almost painful just to look at her in the photos too.

Lea is too short for this dress, the train too long for her and the styling did not help either. oh the slit scream tacky with her jlo-wanabe attitude on red carpet.

I think she's actually making it work. She's got the confidence so it doesn't look like the dress is wearing her. Is it my fav look for her, not, but she still looks great!

When you have the good fortune to wear a $100,000 gown, for heaven's sake do the remaining 99% of us a favor and Respect The Dress! Scruffy hair and makeup...just NO! Posture please. And since this dress is not a print and does not have embroidery, sequins, or crystals...you CAN wear a statement necklace with it, perhaps diamonds in platinum. A collar style necklace which won't interfere with the asymmetrical top.
