Swinging Sixties: Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2015
Louis Vuitton's latest offering for Spring/Summer 2015 from designer Nicolas Ghesquiere (his second collection for Louis Vuitton) was overshadowed by its location: the new Louis Vuitton Foundation Art Museum and Cultural Center. At a cost of over 100 million Euros, the Frank Gehry-designed building has been compared to an iceberg or giant sailboat and took over a decade to complete and is decorated with "L's" and "V's". Even though the building has been branded as one of the most exciting and avant-garde Parisian projects in recent years, the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer collection was more on the Retro side...

Themes: A new more fun and "younger" LV girl; Retro; the late 60's/early 70's trend seen in both Milan and Paris weeks was cemented with Nicolas Ghesquiere's collection for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2015. 
Trends: Swinging Sixties shift dresses; A-line shapes; white lace; cropped pants; culottes; Bermuda shorts; Psychedelic paisley prints; clashing colors; ankle boots; loose blouses; loose mini dresses; "Mary Quant"-like flared mini skirts; lacing; velvet; eel skin.
Colors: White; blood red; pumpkin orange; navy; pea green; psychedelic paisley prints.
