Julianne Moore in Custom Chanel Haute Couture--2015 Academy Awards
Academy Awards Best Actress Nominee (and probable winner) Julianne Moore did not wear Tom Ford at the Oscars (quelle surprise!), but instead wore a Custom Chanel Haute Couture gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Excuse me if I am wrong but isn't Custom and Haute Couture (almost) the same thing? Or at least, very close. And if a Chanel Haute Couture gown can cost in the $100,000+ range, then what would a CUSTOM Chanel Haute Couture one cost? Well, for Julianne Moore, it was free.
Now, back to the gown: the strapless style featured a column shape with small train in the back; it was completely hand done and hand sequined, accented by several rows of silk organza and black paillette Chanel camellias.

I would have nipped it in slighty at the waist. it seems kind of a lttle too straight. Julianne is fabulous anyway, of course.
