TRAVELING IN STYLE.....Lanzarote Canary Islands: Pool, Beach and Food

Lanzarote Holiday: Photos from my "holiday" in Lanzarote, the Canary Islands

After my QVC UK debut in London and a few days of sightseeing and shopping there, and then subsequently a quick stop in Madrid Spain, David and I then had a goal: TO GET AWAY! And have a mini-holiday. It's been a long time since we did that so we thought "Where in Europe...IN NOVEMBER...could we go where it was SUNNY and we could do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING??"  Before we left to Europe, back in our home in L.A., we researched and researched--online--"Europe...November...Sunny...Where?" And every site kept coming up with "Canary Islands". Done and done...

Almost there--The island of Lanzarote in the distance

In case you may not be geographically challenged, the Canary Islands are an island group--an archipelago--that is part of Spain. They are located only 62 miles from the coast of Morocco and the continent of Africa. While most of Europe was cold and somewhat rainy (Madrid was!), the Canary Islands because of their location, have a constant subtropical climate: It's like Mykonos in June...but for most of the year!

Bienvenido a Lanzarote: Tourist signs at the Lanzarote International Airport. We decided on the easternmost island of Lanzarote (within the Canary Islands) because everyone (well, travel sites on the web) said that this was the island to just get away and do nothing on.  It seemed like the Canary Islands equivalent to Kauai (love!) and Santorini (Love!!). We also liked one particular resort located there that a lot of travelers kept raving about.

Our Home for the Next Four Days: Lani's Beachfront Suites de Luxe Puerto del Carmen Lanzarote

We stayed at the fabulous--and UBER relaxing--Lani's Beachfront Suites de Luxe Resort in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. The hotel--in the website pics--looked like a chic, modern, boutique-like resort. Once we arrived, it was all that! Oh, and yeah, then there's that view and the perfect weather! (the web didn't lie!): It was 85 degrees and sunny, and up to almost-90 the entire time we were there. In November. So, if you ever want to know where to have a sunny getaway in Europe in November....head to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

Here are photos of our very relaxing, wonderful time in Lanzarote. We didn't explore the island so much but that wasn't the point for us. Maybe next time...This time I wanted to do NOTHING and just relax.

Lanzarote is an African archipelago, which is part of Spain Canary Island. Lanzarote is, jointly with Tenerife, the capital of the of the Canary Islands. If we measure the beauty naturally, artificially then Lanzarote is far better than other 6. The main attraction included Cocodrilos Park, Timanfaya National Park etc. People sometime ask what will be the better option to visit Canary Island. I advice them it is fully your own opinion. In between 7 I choose Lanzarote. But in my opinion everyone have their own special beauty. But if you confuse read all the information related to Canary Island from .I hope it will help you to take your decision. But personally I am also fan of Gran Canaria. And your images is the reason of my love. And if you have any queries you can ask them to the webpage here you will get all the possible answer like which one is the best, which one is cold, where to stay, how much costly etc etc. So take decision wisely and if possible visit all those 7 island in Canary Island.
