It's a Wrap!
This past Monday--the day after the 2012 Academy Awards--I filmed my last TV Guide Network "Fashion Wrap" for Award Season 2012--the TV Guide Network 2012 Academy Awards Fashion Wrap! I had barely come down from my "style high" of being LIVE the day before as the Fashion Correspondent for the TV Guide Network Countdown and Red Carpet Shows. I had an amazing time giving my immediate fashion "two cents", along with Tabatha Coffey just 15 feet above the actual red carpet right there at the Hollywood & Highland Center.
But now it was time to reunite with Miss Tabatha--who was giving "Dominatrix Couture" on her Alexander McQueen leather peplum'ed jacket and pencil skirt ensemble. I kid you not, that when she changed into her filming look--I stood in front of her and counted all those seams and looked all up in there--checking out that fabulously fitting McQueen jacket. She loves her McQueen (and yes, from what I hear, it's all bought kids, no borrowing...)
Naturally, Tabatha and I were joined by our "Fashion Wrap" partner-in-style crime, Camille Grammer of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" as well as our host, actress Ali Landry--whom had just worn my NIKOLAKI gown the night before (LOVE her!!). We had a great shoot and it all went really smoothly! In case you missed it, my "Top Best Dressed Girl" was Gwyneth Paltrow in that ivory Tom Ford cape/one-shoulder gown ensemble and my "Not-So-Best Dressed Girl" was actress Melissa Leo (bless her heart!).
I had an incredible 2012 Award Season doing coverage and commentating for TV Guide Network one more year (it's like my FIFTH Season!!) and especially, a FAB "Fashion Wrap" time with Tabatha, Camille and Ali. But who I will especially miss is the crew...

Academy Awards Balcony Viewing:
Last night as we all know (unless you have been living under a rock!) was the Academy Awards! Not only is it the "Super Bowl" of Film...but also for FASHION!!! I was honored and humbled to be asked back to join the TV Guide Network Academy Awards Coverage Team and be the "Fashion Guy" and give my immediate and LIVE "Nick Two Cents" beginning in the Countdown Show as well as the Red Carpet LIVE show Hosted by Chris Harrison.
I was on the "Bridge" about 20 feet above the Academy Awards Red Carpet in the formerly-known-as-the-Kodak Theater with Tabatha Coffey--my Fashion Wrap Sistah!--as well as Maria Sansone. Maria was our "ringleader" and she was absolutely FABULOUS!! Loved her and her gold sequined gown! Speaking of gowns, of course, Miss Tabatha looked stunning in her black silk taffeta strapless Mermaid-shape ensemble. LOVED those pockets Miss Tabatha!! We were positioned next to ABC Local Oscars Coverage Team (with former Supermodel Roshumba Williams!) and Access Hollywood. Also up in the Balcony were EXTRA, Entertainment Tonight, and CNN Showbiz Tonight, among others.
We had a PERFECT position atop the red carpet looking down at the entire "show". We were LIVE when Sacha Baron Cohen (as "The Dictator") dumped the "ashes" Ryan Seacrest, as well as having a bird's eye view when all the stars arrived, one after another. I can't even describe the excitement of being there--and especially being right ABOVE them!!! We filmed our Countdown and Live Red Carpet Show and before we could pronounce "Haute Couture"...it was OVER! Well, our filming was, but not our Red Carpet oogling!! Tabatha Fierce: It was cold up there on our balcony location and soon Miss Tabatha Coffey got her fur mini-cape on! She looked fabulous and chic--and kept herself warm as well! How you say "You Go Girl!" in Australian slang???

After we wrapped our TV Guide Network Countdown and LIVE Red Carpet filming--and the Oscars Red Carpet was done--I made my way to our "holding area" and guess who I ran into...

Rehearsals yesterday...The Oscars TODAY!!!!
Well, kids, Oscars NIGHT is almost upon us--in less than 24 hours!!! Today, I had rehearsals--at the Hollywood & Highland Center for my stint as the Fashion Guru on TV Guide Network's Academy Awards Countdown to the Red Carpet and Red Carpet Shows Hosted by Chris Harrison. I will be on the "Bridge" location about 20 feet above the Oscars Red Carpet--beginning at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST on the TV Guide Network--along with Tabatha Coffey and Maria Sansone. We had rehearsals today and they went really well!!! I'm so excited to be doing the show with them--and of course, the rest of the TV Guide Network Academy Awards Red Carpet Coverage team, including our Host, the one-and-only Chris Harrison, as well as Mark Istook, Carly Steel and our "Fashion Wraps" host Ali Landry. Hollywood Blvd. and the formerly-known-as-the-Kodak Theater was all abuzz today with lots of press, lots of other Entertainment TV Rehearsals (Tabatha and I ran into Kelly Osborne on our way to our bridge location!) and tourists galore (on the Blvd. naturally!). Guess who I also ran into today?
Well--like I said--DON'T MISS tomorrow's Academy Awards TV Guide Red Carpet Coverage with ME (!!!) and those lovely ladies above--and Host Chris Harrison, Mark Istook, Carly Steel...beginning at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST. TV Guide Network. We will be DISHING the fashion, the hair and talking to the BIGGEST Stars!!!

Academy Awards Red Carpet FAB!!!
TV Guide Network begins celebrating the 84th Academy Awards early with a one-hour preview highlighting the nominated films, actors and actresses at 4:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT.
Hosts Maria Sansone and Marc Istook will then give viewers a sneak peek of all the early red carpet action with a live, one-hour countdown from the most glamorous event in Hollywood at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT (live on both coasts). And that's where I come in---But I will not be alone: I am EXTRA excited to be joined by my Australian DIVA "Fashion Wrap" gal pal:
The one and only Tabatha Coffey. Last year, she was in a different location away from the Kodak Theater, reporting on the Fab and Not-So-Fab Hair, but this year, she will be WITH ME!!! Yes, Tabatha and I will be ON THE Kodak Theater Academy Awards "bridge" looking over the Red Carpet--and LIVE commenting on our predictions and thoughts on Oscars Fashion-and-Hair Fabulousness! A-list stars from the year's most critically acclaimed films will speak with Chris Harrison (above) beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT (live on both coasts) during the 90-minute show, "Academy Awards Red Carpet with Chris Harrison." And we will be giving our "Nick and Tabatha Two Cents", right there and then!!! So...Don't Miss It!!!! Here are the Details:
