Last Tuesday, on August 9th, I was invited by my Chica Orbit/Wrigley clients (as you know I am the "Chica Orbit Style Guy") to attend the Grand Finale of the 3rd Annual "Vive tu Musica with 5™" Presented by 5 Gum®, at the L.A. Live, "Club Nokia" in Downtown Los Angeles. I decided to throw on one of my white "dinner jackets", skinny black jeans and deep-V t-shirt (and scarf of course). I didn't know that the red carpet would be BLACK, which turned out to be a good thing since I "stood out"! "Vive tu Musica with 5™" is a Reality TV Show featured on LATV, a bilingual music and entertainment network founded in 2001 by Luca Bentivoglio. It airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT, on LATV Nationwide. Here's more on what the show is about:

"Vive tu Musica with 5™" offers a chance to aspiring musicians to become the next Latin rock & pop stars. In March, several unsigned music bands auditioned in several cities of the country for the opportunity to be part of the TV Show.

There were 10 semifinalist: Por que No (Nueva York), Cano 22 (Los Angeles), El Frente (Boston), La Gente Naranja (Miami), Katrin (Dallas), Castellano (Chicago), Teoria Quintuple (Nueva York), Alas Blancas (Houston), Odas (Miami), Los Despiertos (East Los Angeles). After several weeks of online voting, these bands were selected to participate on the "Vive tu Musica with 5™" Reality TV Show, which visited 5 cities in the US where each episode was shot.

Five Finalists won the chance to compete at this Grand Finale, which I attended! And, may I add, from the looks of the sold-out packed "L.A. Live" Club Nokia--and the throngs of screaming fans I witnessed, well, it's a VERY POPULAR SHOW!!
It was fun to be part of this FAB Musica Show-Down. The five bands competed in front of a panel of judges which included Grammy Award-nominated Mexican pop singer Cristian Castro (above)...

The Finale Event was hosted by the gorgeous Cash Money Recording Artist T. Lopez.

With my crazy/hectic schedule of traveling, filming and designing--I don't usually get much of chance to go out and attend a Music Concert...so this was a great chance to do both and to also support my Latino Music peeps! (did I just say "peeps"???) Perdon :) Ciao for now...
