As part of my MC'ing duties of the this year's FIDM Debut Show, I had the opportunity to do very special Meet & Greet's with attendees of the show during both nights (I MC'ed last Thursday and Friday) afterward in my "VIP Tent", right next to The Barker Hangar, where the FIDM Debut Show was being held.

To finish my FIDM DEBUT 2015 blog recaps, it's time for last Saturday night's fabulous FIDM DEBUT 2015 Los Angeles Fashion Gala, a black tie fundraiser befitting the FIDM Scholarship Foundation. Both myself and my better half--David Paul--were invited to attend this wonderful runway show. The FIDM DEBUT Runway Show showcases designs by graduating students in the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM's Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study Programs as well as work from Interior Design and Textile Design Students. The show is the culmination of over 50 weeks of mentorship and thousands of studio hours featuring the "creme de la creme" of FIDM. 

This past Saturday night was the FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising DEBUT 2014 Los Angeles Fashion Gala at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica CA. This was the culmination of a week of DEBUT shows and the VIP black tie dinner-and-fashion show event to honor FIDM Debut, it's grads and of course, the fashion! Students from the FIDM Advanced Program of Fashion Design, Theater Costume Design create designs that are then showcased at DEBUT.

Last week was the fabulous FIDM DEBUT 2014. As the Official Spokesperson for FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, I had the honor of hosting and opening the FIDM DEBUT Fashion Show this past Thursday and Friday at the Santa Monica Barker Hangar--in front of THOUSANDS of attendees!

Step and Repeat Outfit Change: I hosted both Thursday and Friday and naturally, I had different ensembles...On Thursday I wore my red H & M jacket and striped bow tie and on Friday, I wore my apple green/golden jacket from Topman and striped bow tie. Both of these pics were from my "Nick VIP Tent" that was adjacent to the Barker Hangar tent site of the FIDM DEBUT 2014 show.

On Saturday, I had the honor of being invited--along with my NIKOLAKI partner David Paul--to the FIDM Debut 2013 L.A. Fashion Gala at Santa Monica's Barker Hangar. This is the "fancy" version of the previous days Debut show I hosted. It was a black tie event (well, at least for me!) that began with a "Cocktail Hour", followed by a sit-down dinner, a presentation of Scholarship trophies and then, the Debut Fashion Show! Last week was a very, very busy week for me: it was the FIDM Debut Week/Weekend! As the Official Spokesperson for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM, I was honored to have been asked--once again--to host the FIDM Debut 2013 shows.

FIDM's annual DEBUT Runway Show attracts nearly 10,000 people over three days and features designs by graduating students in FIDM's Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study programs, as well as work from Interior Design, Digital Media, and Textile Design students. The extravaganza concludes on the third night with the DEBUT Runway Show & Gala, a scholarship fundraising event attended by industry notables, FIDM Alumni, and fashion celebrities (that post will follow, of course!).
