NICK APPEARANCES.....Nick and Tyra: Backstage at the Daytime Emmys for SOAPnet

Flip That Hair Darling! Nick Verreos and Tyra Banks do the Flip: Check out the video above The Daytime Emmy Awards are "Done and Done!" as I like to say...but the photos and the videos just keep on coming! After I did my red carpet interviews, I skedaddled my Greek-Venezuelan no-butt self through a side door of the Orpheum Theater and, along with my AMAZING SOAPnet producers, writers and cameraman, we set up shop backstage to get the "Post Award" reactions from the winners. Hottie Couple: Nick Verreos and Outstanding Supporting Actor 2009 Jeff Branson of "Guiding Light" I was privileged to be one of only a few media outlets who were allowed access (in a separate room) to interview the winners (Rachel Ray escaped me unfortunately--her pr people said she had to get back in the theater for another award) after they had their "moment" in the "General Press Room". Halter Winner: Outstanding Lead Actress 2009, Susan Haskell of "One Life To Live" and Nick Verreos I was so happy to get Outstanding Lead Actress winner, Susan Haskell (she's got amazing shoulders!), cutie Jeff Branson of "Guiding Light" (the NICEST guy!) and from "General Hospital" Julie Berman who looked gorgeous in a vanilla-colored jersey gown with a very high slit. Luke and Laura's Daughter: Outstanding Younger Actress 2009 Julie Berman of "General Hospital" Lulu Spencer Once they arrived at my SOAPnet.com "station" I first asked them how they felt to get their Daytime Emmy trophy. I also had them say a heartfelt "Thank You" to whomever they might have missed in their acceptance speech--right to the SOAPnet camera; Just for us--and to the rest of America (he he).

Outstanding Supporting Actress 2009 Tamara Braun of "Days Of Our Lives" and Nick Verreos One of my favorite moments of the night came towards the end, when off to left of my eye, I notice a stunning 6 foot tall blond woman in one of the other "Post-Award" rooms interviewing the stars. During a break in the award commotion, I pass by and realized it's one of my favorite "Lifestyle DIVAS", the one and only Sandra Lee!! Daytime Emmy Prom Date: Nick Verreos and Food Network's Sandra Lee I love her show, Money Saving Meals, and couldn't believe that she was ten feet away from me! Her "entourage" of hair, make-up and pr people were THE CUTEST! At the same time I was going CRAZY over her, her staff was going "ga-ga for Nick". Little did I know (I soon found out) that they were all fans of Project Runway and me. Well, you know I just about died and went to Food Network Heaven!That's Big Bird! Nick Verreos points to Big Bird, backstage at the 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards My other favorite moment involved Sesame Street, Telly and Big Bird. Sesame Street was being honored for its 40Th Anniversary and a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award. One of my first memories as a young kid having just arrived in the US from Venezuela was watching Sesame Street. In other words, I love me some Sesame Street!
