NICK APPEARANCES.....Victoria's Secret "What's Sexy?" Party Drai's W Hollywood

Sexy Sexy... Fireside: Nick Verreos and Suwana Perry, wearing Nikolaki, at the Victoria's Secret "What's Sexy?" Party On Wednesday night, I was invited to the 5Th Annual Victoria's Secret What's Sexy? Event at the gorgeous Drai's W Hollywood. I had never been up to the new Drai's and so of course I wanted to attend. Also anything that has "Victoria's Secret" attached to it, you KNOW I'm there! Ever since I did my backstage behind-the-scenes "Panty Raid" video for Victoria's Secret--and yes, my "connection" to the UBER Beautiful Heidi Klum--I have been a VS fan! Model Sexy: LA Models including Talesha Byrd (in white), Eugena Washington (from Cycle 7 of America's Next Top Model), Tanisha Harper (from Season 1 Models of The Runway) and Suwana Perry (wearing Nikolaki one shoulder dress) I decided to bring a date, one of my gorgeous model friends, the lovely Suwana Perry, who naturally had to be dressed in one of my designs, a (Very Sexy!) raspberry-colored silk charmeuse one shoulder "Disco" concoction. As we made it to the Pink Carpet outside of the W Hollywood, I looked up and there was Paris Hilton waiting to do her step-and-repeat. Paris was so sweet and funny; she forgot who she was wearing and I helped her look at the back of her dress trying to find a label---fun times! Next time, I might have to lend her one of my little cocktail numbers and then she won't forget. Also on the Pink Carpet were the Victoria's Secret Supermodels, Doutzen Kroes (above), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel and of course, Miranda Kerr, who was one of the Hosts of the Event. In keeping with the party's theme, they all looked VERY SEXY of course. Once inside, the place was PACKED with celebs, models, lots of wealthy-looking men and LA/Hollywood A-Listers. I said "Ola" to the Brazilian model Camila Alves, host of Bravo's Shear Genius, sporting a perfect (Brazilian Blow-Out I presume?) mane of chestnut hair and white and silver tunic-dress. Speaking of models, there was a contingency of the prettiest girls from LA Models--lots of whom have modeled for me--including Tanisha Harper and (my Muse and Fit Model) Lisa Blades (both from Lifetime's Models Of The Runway Season 1). Model-and Designer-Posing: Nick Verreos with Models, Victoria's Secreet What's Sexy? Party When they all saw Suwana and I walk into the party, there was lots of model screamin' and impromptu model "walk-offs" let me tell you. I'm sure other guests were like "What the H***???", but we didn't mind! The best part of the night (other than "Queening Out" with all the models!) was a "Surprise" performance by none other that Pharell, Chad Huzo, and Shay Haley of N.E.R.D. They did a three-song set which capped the night and the event. I even got to stop my shaking and dancing long enough to hold my camera and take some photos. Thanks Victoria's Secret. Now I really know What's Sexy!

NICK APPEARANCES.....Nick Verreos and Marisa Miller on MSN.com Style Studio

Shopping and Pool Time, with Nick:Prom Photo by the Pool: Nick Verreos and Marisa Miller, W Hotel Los Angeles (Westwood) cabana When I got the call to do a shopping segment at Intermix on Robertson Blvd. AND interview Marisa Miller and have an exclusive peak at the newest Victoria's Secret Swimsuit Collection--all for MSN Style Studio, my response was "YES and YESSSS!!!!!!"
Intermix First stop: One of my favorite stores in Los Angeles, Intermix on Roberston Blvd. It carries EVERYTHING a hip, young Hollywood girl wants and needs to have in her walk-in closet! With the help of two lovely models, we shot a segment highlighting the NEON trend for this Spring/Summer '09 season and how you ladies can wear this hot look; whether it is on the weekend, at the office or a night on the town. Bubble Gum Barbie: Heidi Klum in the fabulous Matthew Williamson jacket and slim trousers For the weekend look, we put together an "LA Casual" yet "Hampton's Chic" look which I LOVED: The exaggerated-shoulder white jacket, the bright royal blue top, the acid washed "holey" 80s style jeans, and the studded sandals. So cute! For business--I found the SAME bubblegum pink silk-cotton Matthew Williamson jacket that Heidi Klum wore to the Project Runway Season 6 Finale and paired it with some pleated and tapered black pants, some black heels and a hefty metallic bag, roomy enough to put all your papers in but stylish enough to be worn after work. Who says you can't wear Neon to work-- only if it's done as we show you!Nick and Christian Siriano's...Dress: Nick Verreos with model (in Christian Siriano), Intermix on Robertson Blvd. Finally, for evening, we found this hot chartreuse colored silk chiffon and organza muti-layered dress at Intermix which just screamed "Take me Nick!". Wouldn't you just know it: It was designed by none other than Project Runway Season 5 Winner, Christian Siriano. I loved the way it moved so effortlessly and floated beautifully away from the wearer's body. You can eat a big ol' Filet Mignon and still go dance it off afterwards! W Hotel Los Angeles: Victoria's Secret Swimsuits! Can we Reserve a Cabana: Nick Verreos poses with Victoria's Secret Swimsuit-clad models After my jaunt at Intermix--and after a quick outfit change--I headed over to the sunny W Hotel in Westwood to say "What's Up??" to the sexy and gorgeous Marisa Miller who was debuting the Summer '09 Victoria's Secret Swimsuit Collection. When I arrived, the pool area was already filled with paparazi and press photographers wanting a glimpse of Marisa and the latest VS Swimsuits, which by the way, were so adorable, wearable and still very stylish. Turn here Marisa: Marisa Miller poses at the press photo op, Victoria Secret Swimsuit Launch at the W Hotel Los Angeles I was TOTALLY OVERDRESSED of course, somehow I left my Speedos at home for this segment--Ooops! But then again, I was there to interview Marisa and see the new line--not to be swimming or modeling (thank the Victoria's Secret Gods!). Marisa was SO unbelievably cute, it's BEYOND words. I had interviewed her a few times before for my "Behind The Scenes at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" segments and she remembered. Watch the video below to see how Marisa said "Goodbye" to me. Let's just say A LOT of Straight men wish it would have been them!!!!!

Jimmy's funny "parking security guard" was, I guess also backstage and doing his own "pink carpet" coverage and well, you guys will see...I thought it was cute and funny. Thank God they compared me to Cleto and not Guillermo!

NICK APPEARANCES.....Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: Panty Raid

In the spirit of tonight's airing of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, I thought I would do a little catch up and give my "Behind the Scenes" Blog to accompany my video that was posted on bravotv.com and now here.

I was at the University of Kansas for an appearance when I got the call to do backstage and "Pink Carpet" correspondance for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Two days later, back in Los Angeles, I cut my class short and headed on the 101 to Hollywood. The thought of being with the most beautiful women in the world made me almost get in an accident as I texted about half a dozen of my closest of friends!
I showed up, in my pink polo shirt ready for my assignment. I was to ask the girls just one question: “What is in your lingerie drawer?” Before, I could say “Joe Boxer”; I was whisked to a private room in back of the Renaissance Hotel, next to the Kodak Theater where the models were preparing for the show. Immediately, I run into Karolina Kurkova. I just love pronouncing her name. I feel like a Russian ballet instructor every time I say it. I had met Karolina at another Victoria’s Secret event and she recognized me. We chatted and even did some “dirty dancing” while singing “Sexy Back”.

Once inside the hallowed chambers of the make-up and hair room, I almost felt numb. It was a fantasy come true. From my participation on Season 2 of Project Runway, it was obvious that I adore models. They are, as I said, my muses. Imagine, for me, not just being in a room with models, but with Supermodels. Gisele Bundchen, fellow Brazilian, Adriana Lima, exotic Oluchi Onweagba, they were all there getting ready. I didn’t know what to do other than to want to do a “model walk off” with them. I could not, of course for obvious reasons, notwithstanding the fact that they were busy getting their rollers, hair extensions, and fake eyelashes on,but more importantly, I am certain that there are public decency laws in California that prevent me from wearing Victoria's Secret Pink Panties.

Camera in tow, I proceeded to ask the models my “What is in their drawers” question. Gisele was sweet and professional, saying she likes thongs and lacy bras to feel sexy. Then I spotted “Victor & Rolf” muse, Brazilian Raquel Zimmermann, and congratulated her on her “wedding” to the design duo earlier this month here in LA. I approached several other Victoria’s Secret models, including Izabel Goulart, Angela Lindvall, Allesandra Ambrosio, and got some fun answers to my cheeky question of the day.

The show began with a hot performance by Justin Timberlake. Now, I must admit that I liked Justin’s music but was not always a “fan”. I have always been more of a Jay Kay of Jamiroquai fan. He has been MY Justin when Justin was still in High School! However, after seeing Mr. Timberlake in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show performing several of his songs live and dancing his little booty off, well, I was ready to get my “Justin” membership card. I became a 14 year old girl in an instant, screaming and yelling. While seeing the Godesses of Ubermodels work the Swarovski crystal runway, one quickly figures out why these divine creatures make the money they make. They are worth every Euro, or Brazilian Real.
Those "America's Next Top Model" wannabes need to watch this show and take note. I have a feeling most of these girls were born walking this way; there was no need for a class with "Miss Jay".
The After Party was held nearby at The Roosevelt Hotel and before I knew it, most of the cast of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” was hovered around me in conversation. For the rest of the night, I chatted with hottie actor, Justin Chambers and his lovely wife, Keisha, as well as actors, Sarah Ramirez, and Kate Walsh. I discovered that they were all fans of Project Runway and we spoke of having me design them a dress or two. My evening ended going home after I caught myself staring at the Roosevelt pool and wanting to jump in it.
Here is the Behind the Scenes video I did, just in case you missed it before. It will also be in my permanent video section on the side of this blog in case you need a little dose of Supermodel to brighten up your day...(or make you feel more depressed!).

NICK APPEARANCES.....Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup Launch Party

VERY SEXY MAKE-UP Earlier this week, I was invited to the Launch Party of Victoria's Secret "Very Sexy" Make-Up line at the Tropicana Bar poolside the fabulously refurbished Roosevelt Hotel. I went with Raymundo Baltazar, designer(and friend) from last season. We immediately ran into one of Victoria's Secret Top Supermodels, Karolina Kurkova. I just love saying her name, enunciating every "K" and "R", as if my passport to the Czech Republic depended on it! She was so much fun, posing with Raymundo and I , as well as Full Pictures Executive Producer and friend, Jane Cha. We also ran into stylist extraordinaire, Charlie Altuna, who besides doing EVERY A-List celebrity, styles all the "America's Next Top Model" shoots, and Sarah, one of the Finalists from last season's ANTM. She is gorgeous and over 6 feet tall!! We took photos with Los Angeles Times Fashion Editor, Booth Moore (in the photo wearing a blue jersey number). Her husband (not in the photo) was sporting a very smart seersucker suit I might add, and educated me in where the word "Seer Sucker" comes from. It is Hindi and it means, literally "Milk" and "Sugar". The party was straight out of the pages of "Us Weekly", "InTouch" and "OK" magazines: one minute, I turned around and I was in JC Chasez' poolside cabana taking photos(I was THAT close to asking him where Lance Bass was and which closet he was NOT hiding in). The next minute , I turn around and there is Jessica Simpson sitting with her entourage. At one point , I almost had a flashback of being "a little Mexican kid in Tijuana", when I spotted Niki Hilton and friends. Needless to say, I headed for the bar! There were lots of 5'10" wannabe "Victoria's Secret" models and their 50-something male hanger-ons, and lots of cute young "Hollywood" male actor/model types, being ignored by those 5'10" aforementioned models. There were also(to my surprise) a lot of guests who kept yelling "look, it's Nick from Project Runway". I'm glad they did, because it made me suck in my stomach and straighten my posture. It was a fun night, but I reminded Raymundo that it was still a "School Night" and we were about to turn into pumpkins. *Click HERE for more pictures from the party.
