Beckley Team: Nick Verreos, Lawrence Zarian and Jen Rade, TV Guide Network "The Fashion Team" at Beckley Boutique
Last week for our latest episode ofTV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team", host Lawrence Zarian & Co. --by Company, of course, I mean stylist Jen Rade and I, Nick Verreos-- headed to the hip Beckley Boutique on Melrose Avenue in the heart of West Hollywood.
Since this season "The Fashion Team" was exclusively on location, shooting in all sorts of places in LA, this time we came to Beckley. This chic gem of a boutique carries brands and designers such as Camilla and Marc, Halston Heritage, Sass and Bide and Vivienne Westwood among others. They also carry a HUGE array of accessories including purses, jewelry and even luxe fragranced candles and body lotions.

For our "WTF?"/ What's The Fashion segment, Lawrence , Jen and I discussed our "Most Memorable" red carpet styles from last week's Grammy Awards and then chose our Top Five. We had a BLAST discussing Lady Gaga's "Egg" , Nicki Minaj's Cheetah-Krazy Givenchy Haute Couture (LOVED IT!!!) plus many more.

You can search high-and-low at Beckley Boutique but you ain't gonna find those UBER out-there get ups here. This store carries sexy, comfy-chic clothes for the stylish Southern California Fashionista. Consider it like the one-stop shop for the perfect "LA Girl" wardrobe!

Making The (Fashion) Band: TV Guide Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap Team: Clockwise, Nick Verreos, Kim Vo, Kara Birkenstock, Host Lawrence Zarian and Jen Rade
On Monday morning, I had an early "Call Time" to shoot my "Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap" at the TV Guide Hollywood & Highland studios. I was revv'ed up and ready after watching the show the night before and--along with my "research partner"--doing all my "Grammys Fashion Homework". It also helped that I was doing a bit of my own "Live Blogging The Red Carpet" as well on Sunday night.
Our "Fashion Wrap" set was all done up with lovely flower arrangements with strategically placed musical instruments. Hello: It's the Grammys!
Grammy's Trois-some: Jen Rade, Lawrence Zarian and Nick Verreos, TV Guide Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap set
Along with our "Rocker Host", Mr. Lawrence Zarian--giving you leather jacket, graphic tee, and silver belt-chain accessories--I was joined by my "Fashion Team Girl" Stylist Jen Rade, Hair Color Guru Kim Vo and Shoe and Style Expert Kara Birkenstock.
We had a lot of fun agreeing--as well as disagreeing-- on the looks we saw on the Grammy Awards Red Carpet the night before. We all agreed on "Ricky Martin: What were you thinkin'???" and when it came to Rihanna's Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture white-and-sheer tulle gown, well....you will have to click below to see...

Violets Are Blooming: "Fashion Team" Host Lawrence Zarian, stylist Jen Rade and Fashion Designer Nick Verreos, TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team"
Last week, we filmed the latest in this season's "The Fashion Team" TV Guide Network Show from Mark's Garden in Sherman Oaks, California. Usually, we film our episodes from various LA fashion boutiques, Couture Vintage Stores, or even a Hair Salon or two---However , just in time for Valentine's Day, we decided to shoot this episode from one of the premier Flower Design/Shops in Southern California.
A-List Flowers: The Front of "Mark's Garden", Sherman Oaks
Mark's Garden Flower Arrangement...waiting to be delivered
They have designed the flower arrangements for the past EIGHTEEN YEARS for the Academy Awards Governors Ball (I know this is SERIOUS Flower Extravaganza!) as well as Celebrity A-List Weddings like Fergie and Josh Duhamel, Ellen and Portia, Pink, Gwen Stefani and "My Girl" Heidi Klum!
Nick Verreos "Hearts" Mark's Garden, Sherman Oaks
The shop was all "abuzz" with flower orders galore and done up just in time for Valentine's Day. Notice the Window "Heart Display" behind me in the photo above. As soon as I arrived, I requested form the talented flower designers if they could create a little Boutonniere for me so I would wear it to the taping.
Fashion Prom Date: Nick Verreos and his "Mark's Garden" Boutonniere
I just thought "Heck, I'm in one of the Top Flower Stores in the Nation...maybe I should have one of their 'mini-designs' on my lapel!" Well, they quickly went to work and created an amazing creation: Love them!
The Episode Premiered Last Friday but you can still catch it TOMORROW, Wednesday Feb 16Th 1PM and Friday Feb 18 7PM.

Fashion Wrap Couch Mates: (L to R) Nick Verreos, Jen Rade, Kim Vo, Kara Birkenstock, Lawrence Zarian
Well kids, Monday--less than 24 hours after it happened--I was invited to join the "illustrious" panel of experts for our TV Guide SAG Awards Fashion Wrap, where we rate the Best, Worst Dressed, the hair, the make up, the shoes...you get the picture. No SAG Awards "Red Carpet Stone" is left unturned.
Once again, joining in on the fun was our Host, TV Guide Fashion Guy, Lawrence Zarian--who was actually working ON THE RED CARPET the night before--plus Hair Color DIVA Kim Vo, Shoe Expert, the very leg-o-licious Kara Birkenstock and last but not least, my next-to-me seatmate, the lovely UBER stylist Jen Rade. Jen was wearing head-to-toe H&M and looked FABUOLOUS: Her double zero (I'm jealous!) body looked amazing in those off-white palazzo's and tucked-in blouse.
The set, once again, was modern and fresh, including this divine black leather couch (from HD Buttercup, one of my favorite furniture stores in LA) and I especially loved the table above with that GORGEOUS Orchid bouquet display!
Sitting Pretty: Nick Verreos on the TV Guide Fashion Wrap set, TV Guide Network Studios
We had so much fun DISHING on all the Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet. I just LOVE been with this TV Guide "funky bunch"! This was one of our best! We agreed on a lot of the Red Carpet styles (Big Improvement Miss Tina Fey! We "Heart" you!) as well as disagreed naturally (watch below and you'll see! OH Angie Harmon...)

The Fashion Team at Bliss Spa Hollywood: Lawrence Zarian, Jen Rade and Nick Verreos
Last week, we filmed our latest episode of Season 7's TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team"on location at Bliss Spa Hollywood located at the W Hollywood Hotel. Well, I don't think you'll be surprised when I tell you that I LOVE me some Bliss products.
The Best Valet Waiting Area Ever: W Hollywood Hotel
My Dream Bathroom: Bliss Store, W Hollywood
Let me further explain: A) I just love beauty products PERIOD, but B) Ever since the first time I ever stayed at a W Hotel ages ago, and tried out their hotel room's products--Bliss of course--I was a confirmed fan. I especially LOVE the Body Butter and their Lemon and Sage Supershine Shampoo.
NIKOLAKI Gowns on the Runway, W Hotel San Diego Rooftop "Beach" Bar and Lounge
Several years ago, my design partner David Paul and I showed our NIKOLAKI Collection at the W Hotel San Diego at their rooftop "Beach" area and they put us up in the most AMAZING suite with soooooo many Bliss Products, I thought I died and went to BLISS Heaven!
Happy Birthday Miss Jen: Birthday Girl Jen Rade, with Lawrence Zarian and Nick Verreos, Bliss Spa Hollywood
This time--for TV Guide's "The Fashion Team"--the show in which host Lawrence Zarian, stylist Jen Rade and I give our commentary on the Red Carpet "Hits" and "Misses" of the past week--we were at Bliss to film--not to snag some products! It also just happened to be Jen Rade's Birthday as well! Anyone for a Bliss-Product Birthday Cake???
Spa-llywood: Bliss Store and Spa, W Hollywood
Of course, when I found out that we were filming at Bliss, I had to wear my brightest aqua-blue skinny H&M jeans and matching "driving" loafers which I bought in Positano Italy (sorry I had to drop that!), so I could (kinda) match the decor and brand's color scheme.
What Time Is It: It's Bliss Time, the clock at Bliss Spa Hollywood
We had so much fun filming and at one point, the producers asked if we wanted to get a "faux pedicure" and dip our toes into sudsy Bliss water for a scene. "Done and Done" I said!
The episode debuted last Friday but you can still catch it Monday Jan 24 1:30PM and Wednesday Jan 26 1PM on the TV Guide Network--check your local cable listings.
But for now, you can enjoy this:Here's Last Week's Fashion Team "Red Carpet Hit or Miss" segment from The Montage Beverly Hills:
The Adams...I Mean "Fashion Wrap"...Family: (Clockwise L to R) Kara Birkenstock, Kim Vo, Nick Verreos, Jen Rade and Lawrence Zarian, 2011 Golden Globes Fashion Wrap
Last Sunday, as y'all (yes, I'm a "Southern Belle" at heart!) know, were the 68Th Annual Golden Globe Awards (Oh Ricky Gervais, you're so cheeky!) and as usual, the following Monday, it was time to give our Fashion "Hits" and "Misses", Best and Not-so-Good, on our TV Guide Network Golden Globes Fashion Wrap.
Early Monday morning, I got to the TV Guide studios--armed with my "cheat sheet" from all the fashion "Who Wore What" homework I had done the night before. Thank goodness, I had my NIKOLAKI--and nickverreos.com blogging partner--David Paul helping me out with HOURS upon HOURS of research.
Lofty: The TV Guide Fashion Wrap set, TV Guide Studios
The new set looked AMAZING, with a sleek black leather couch from one of my favorite furniture showrooms, HD Buttercup, minimalist Mid-Century looking tables, a new plushy rug, and a "view" of the Downtown Los Angeles skyline; it looked very "Downtown LA Loft".
I was excited to re-join my Fashion Team host-with-the-most, Lawrence Zarian, as well as my Fashion Team "girlfriend", Jen Rade who was fresh off of styling the STUNNING Angelina Jolie the night before in that Made-to-Order emerald green sequin paillette Versace Atelier gown. Also joining the "Fashion Wrap" team were Master Colorist to the Stars and Stylist Kim Vo, and the beautiful shoe expert Kara Birkenstock. The show debuted this Monday night and it was as much fun to tape as it was to watch!

I Want That Pillow: Nick Verreos filming TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team"Show, Levi's Showroom Los Angeles
This past week we filmed our latest--the first of 2011!-TV Guide Network "The Fashion Team"show, on location from the Levi's Showroom in Los Angeles. The Showroom is located in West Hollywood North of Sunset Blvd., in a fabulous Craftsman-style home. When you walk in it's like you're in DENIM HEAVEN!!!!
Denim Comes In Three: Lawrence Zarian, Jen rade and Nick Verreos, Levi's Showroom Los Angeles
And I was--along with my "Fashion Team" cohorts--stylist Jen Rade and host Lawrence Zarian. It wasn't very difficult to style myself the morning of the shoot while at home, since I basically have a entire section in my Walk-In Closet devoted to Levi's: I own SO MANY Levi's it's kind of RIDICULOUS:
Levi's Angels: Nick Verreos Hosts a Fashion Institute of Design & merchandising/FIDM event at their San Diego Campus, wearing Levi's Capital E Matchstick Slim Straight jeans
I have about TEN pairs--black, regular denim, Tiffany Blue (I know: Shut Up!)and... even a Kelly Green pair (Hello! What part of "Nick Loves Color" did you not understand?), plus, of course, several Levi's shirts and jackets. So, for the shoot, I got my zip-up band-collar Levi's Jacket out and my black Super Skinny 510's (My Fave!) and called it a day! (I threw in a Marc Jacobs dress shirt and an old Urban Outfitters knit tie for balance).
Looks Like My Closet: Neatly folded jeans at the Levi's Showroom Los Angeles
It was great fun being at the Levi's Showroom and PS: Those Showroom reps are SOOO CUTE!!! (sorry guys!). I also loved that they had their own Embroidery Machine (at first I thought it was some sort of a super-duper overlock/serger machine) and a steam/iron set-up right in the middle of the Showroom. Custom, well-pressed jeans possibly?
Embroidery Central: A View inside the Levi's Showroom Los Angeles
The Episode--in which we give our "Fashion Two Cents" on what celebs wore on New Year's Eve, as well as the first week of the new year--- premiered on Friday but you can still catch it:
Monday Jan 10 1:30PM, Wednesday Jan 12 1PM, and Friday Jan 14 6PMFor Now, You Can Watch Our "Most Unforgettable Red Carpet Fashion Moments of 2010" segment from TV Guide "The Fashion Team" TV Show:

Michelle Kwan I Am Not: Nick Verreos does a leg lift on ice skates, filming TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team", Chill at the W Los Angeles/Westwood
Oh how quickly time flies..when you're having "Red Carpet" DISHING fun! Yes, kiddies, this week was the last episode--for 2010--of my TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team"show-and the fun and always insightful segment we lovingly call "WTF?", or "What's The Fashion?" (yeah, I bet you thought those initials stood for something else--Dirty Mind!).
Can I Get a "W": The W Hotel Los Angeles Chill entrance
For this last installment, host Lawrence Zarian, myself, and stylist Jen Rade--who just recently styled Cher in THIS and Angelina Jolie in THIS--met up at the W Los Angeles Hotel (near UCLA's Westwood's Campus) and enjoyed some CHILL time.
Westwood Ice: W Hotel Los Angeles
Well, actually, we filmed the entire episode at the W Los Angeles Chillspace, where the pool was transformed into an outdoors skating rink! (I know, Shut Up Sasha Cohen!) Now, we all know how much I LOVE ME some Figure Skating so you know I was like a 21 year-old gay boy at a Lady Gaga Concert: Loving It!
Ice Skating Threesome: Jen Rade, Lawrence Zarian and Nick Verreos, at W Los Angeles Chill Ice Skating Rink
Jen, Lawrence and I donned our skates and got right to it. I was trying to do my best QUAD (not!) while Jen was just looking FAB in her newly-purchased TopShop ensemble from her recent trip to NYC styling Miss Jolie for the NY Premiere of "The Tourist".
Any White Skates? The Skating Boot Section, Chill at the W Hotel Los Angeles
For this final "What's The Fashion?" Wrap-Up, we went down the list of our "Top Ten Most Memorable Red Carpet Fashion Moments of 2010". Well, naturally, there were MANY moments that we had to chose from--both good and not-so-good. The whole point was that they had to be Memorable...
Ivory Red Carpet Queen: Actress Claire Danes in that Armani Prive ivory sequined made-to-order (if you had to actually buy this gown, it would set you back $100,000+ kids!) strapless gown made the cut, of course. Danes was MY choice for one of the BEST Dressed gals of the entire year in this gown. The clean modern hair, the simple yet elegant make-up, the no-borrowed-jewelry-to-hawk look: Simply Sublime.
Two gals who made our "Most Memorable Top Ten List" for mixed reasons--were actress Charlize Theron's "Cinnabon" Christian Dior by John Galliano rose-pink Duchesse satin gown (yes, with those infamous twist-a-roo bust details!), and "Avatar" star Zoe Saldana in her Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown.
And finally, there was Lady Gaga...
Now you KNOW Miss Lady Gaga and THIS Meat Dress had to make our "Top Ten" List--In fact, it was Numero Uno. For Better or Worse. I really hope she didn't head to Benihana'safter the MTV Awards...Just sayin'

TV Guide's "The Fashion Team" Goes Back To School...
Museum Chic: Jen Rade and Nick Verreos, filming the TV Guide Network "The Fashion team" TV segment, FIDM Museum & Galleries
Hello fashion darlings: Last week, I had the privilege of shooting one of my weekly "Fashion Team What's The Fashion?" segments for the TV Guide Network at my Alma Mater and the College of which I am not only an Instructor but also the Spokesperson: The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM. They asked if maybe they could film an episode there, and let's just say I might have "helped" in making it happen...
As you may know, every week, Stylist and Costume DesignerJennifer Rade and I give our expert "two cents" in the week's rundown of celeb red carpet fashion--and we have our Host-with-the-Most, Lawrence Zarian keep us in check...
Three Fashion Musketeers: Lawrence Zarian, Jennifer Rade and Nick Verreos, FIDM Museum & Galleries
Disco Fever: Bob Mackie Design from the late 1970s, FIDM Museum & Galleries

Orient Express: Yves Saint Laurent Cotton Corduroy Jacket and Wool Gabardine pants ensemble,c. 1977, FIDM Museum & Galleries
The FIDM Museum Study Collection is unique in that it is a major inspiration resource for students and research and if, for example, I wanted to pull items to show my students, THIS "Study Collection" would be fully available to me. It was at the FIDM Museum & Galleries, where Jen Radeand I filmed a little segment highlighting some of our favorite pieces from the exhibition.
Find Professor Nick: Nick Verreos (background) with students, FIDM Classroom
We also filmed at some of the fabulousFIDMclassrooms. In fact, Jen, Lawrence, and I actually shot our "What's The Fashion?" segment in one of the classrooms whereProject Runway Season 6filmed in! We had actual students going about their draping, pattern making and sketching "business" in the classroom, as we commented on what the latest Hollywood A-List celebs were wearing on the red carpet.
Drawing Board: Nick Verreos Fashion Illustrations from the TV Guide Network "The Fashion Team" shoot at FIDM Campus
Speaking of Sketches...the producers asked if I could quickly do some of my fashion illustrations for "background art", for the shoot. Well, naturally, I was like "done and done"! I had such a great time shooting my TV Guide "The Fashion Team" segment at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDMand I am so thankful that they were able to make it happen!!!!
